EMCO is a 40 years old company focused primarily in the T & D segment of Power sector. It is the third largest manufacturer of Transformers in India and a leading player in Electronic Energy Meters and Turnkey Electrical Projects. EMCO is currently growing at 50% year on year basis. For financial year 07-08, the company has budgeted sales of Rs. 1200 Crores . Our vision is to achieve a turnover of Rs. 5000 Crores by 2011.
The company has recently acquired URJA Engineers Ltd., a transmission line company executing turnkey transmission line projects upto 400 kV. The company has expanded its manufacturing facilities at all locations to continue to maintain its growth as it intends to double its turnover every two years.Further the company has plans for synergic diversification in to Switchgear business, which would further add to the top line and bottom line of the company.
The company is also in the process of setting up a 270 MW Coal based Power Project near Nagpur for which it has already obtained the coal linkage from Government of India and has procured the land for the Power Project. The financial closure is under discussion and is expected to be completed soon.
The company has four manufacturing facilities, three for Transformers and one for Meters and around 1200 employees. All its plants are ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified.

| Job Description | Fresh Engineers from 2006 - 07 BE Batch from Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Production, Electronics stream. # Candidates to sign a 3 year service undertaking with the Company # Candidates will undergo 9 months training including Project work under a mentor. # Trainees will be absorbed in the regular grades after successful completion of training. # Candidates to get exposure to various functions in the concern business division. # CTC: - Corporate office - 1.8 lacs p.a., Other locations - 1.44 lacs p.a. # |
