Job Description
The Software Engineer is responsible for undertaking the day to day support for the CMT production systems, back office applications and reporting services. The role is hands-on and responsibility for a range of components is expected.
Summary of Duties includes:
Working closely with team leaders, IT colleagues, Business representatives and users, 3rd party vendors and outsource partners to provide the best support to meet business needs. This includes working a pre determined shift pattern based around the UK day and out of hours call out responsibilities.

Desired Candidate Profile
1.Qualifications & Experience
Qualified to Diploma level as a minimum requirement in mathematics or IT related subjects
3 5 years experience in a commercial IT environment
At least 2 years hands-on support for systems developed using Visual Basic 6 or VB.Net, ODBC, ADO, COM, DCOM, ASP, XML
A good knowledge of SQL Server 2000, 2005 including merge replication
Experience in supporting and enhancing SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services
2.Personal Characteristics
Good team player with above average inter-personal skills
Good communication skills
Willingness to go that 'extra yard'
Good problem solving and analytical skills
Can work well under pressure
Proactive
Adaptable
