Job Description The Usability team is involved in UI design, User Experience Research, Usability Testing, Industrial Design, Concept Validations, Prototyping, etc. for HP's printing products. Some of the programming languages that is used by the team for design are: HTML, Javascripts, Ajax, Advanced DHTML, CGI, Perl, VB, Flash etc. The tools being used are: Adobe creative suite, ProE, SolidWorks, Macromedia Studio MX, Icon Design Tools etc. The role would encompass the following: * Managing the Usability team of size 10 to 12 engineers * Plan and track activities of the team * People Management * Closely interact with the partners in US for planning of activities * Work with globally dispersed teams |
| Desired Profile | * The person should have a specialization degree in Human Factors or HCI from a reputed instititue like NID, IDC, IIT etc *Should have atleast 10 years of relevant design/usability experience, out of which at least 2 years should be in managing and tracking projects *Should exhibit strong people management skills *Should have background in design/usability of consumer products *Excellent communication skills |
